REVIEW FOR A NECESSARY END
**READ! THIS! BOOK!** A BOOK TO REDEFINE THE GENRE Firstly, an amazing read—a real page-turner. Seriously, you can’t put it down. Secondly, the characters are real, terrifyingly macabre, and borderline tangible. Read a few pages and you will certainly see what I mean. From Zach, to Eph, to Avery, to the bloody butler, Grimwald, you feel every single emotion; every single conversation; every single fear which the many characters experience—YOU FEEL THEM ALL. Tetreault-Blay has a profound understanding for story flow, character conversation, and overall structure. Never a dull moment—not once. There is always something for everyone in this tale that spans not only time, but space. Traveling from Hell to the States and back to the UK, and surely into the black pit of space within your very self. Thirdly, (and what I found most importantly of all) this book dispels the very notion of the genre hold. Now, when I state this, what I mean is that though the work may be classified as ‘horror,’ this is simply a rough categorization. This writing cannot simply be compared to the greats; IE King, Straub, Koontz, Jackson, or Stoker. No. This writer is seemingly a classification of his own. He will redefine what you believe to be horror. I cannot wait for the next installment or whatever Tetreault-Blay puts out into the universe next. Finally, do yourself a favor and READ! THIS! BOOK! I promise, you will not be disappointed. Five out of five is not enough to do it justice. Truly. An amazing read. I, for one, will be checking out all past work. Congratulations, my friend, truly a work of art and a piece you should be proud of. **READ! THIS! BOOK!**
UTTERLY WITTY AND PROFOUND A fascinating philosophical tale filled with laughs, love, struggle, trauma, and the true definition of what the cosmoses have to offer each of us. C.W. Briggs is a modern-day Friedrich Nietzsche with a brilliant mix of storytelling seamlessly paralleling the styles and deliveries of Denis Leary or dare I say, the great Richard Pryor. This book will be huge, and let me be the first to assert that, “I, too, am a Modern Asshole.” If you fancy an insightful read with a fantastic storyline, an amazing mind with a firm grasp of philosophical concepts, laughter, surprise, and (for those whom share the burden/gift of being the ‘broken’) a kindred spirit, then I implore you: DO NOT WAIT!!! READ! THIS! BOOK! IMMEDIATELY!!!
Briefly, how is everyone enjoying the book? If you have finished, what are some of the things you enjoyed? Some of the things you didn't? Discussions? Questions? Lynch mob? Let's do this... Fire away!!! Seriously, what a talented author... I had the great pleasure of reading his works, The Definition of Insane, and Multiple Minds. They were treats, to say the least, and (being short stories) only took about ten minutes to read each!!! If you fancy a good, quick read that leaves you wanting more, go ahead and check out these titles and more by author, Jonathon Mcelhaney.
Individually, what are some of your biggest fears? What are some scary experiences you've had in the past? Were they life threatening? Let's talk individual horror. .. What do you say???
